The second area was a richly coloured, traditional painting gallery hosting an exhibition of Barbara’s works entitled ‘Truths, Myths, Metamorphoses’. The triptych ‘‘Theatre of E-Morals’’, dedicated to acceptable levels of human tolerance for socially bonding discomfort, was a centrepiece. Transient, multivalent, figurative, theatrical, symbolic, suspended animation, scenes on canvases, referencing works of Old Masters interpreted in the 21st century terms, posed ethical dilemmas inviting the viewers to participate.





The titles and nature of the scenes portrayed prepared the visitor for the live theatre performance that had grown out of the triptych.
